Kamp Karin is located within a short walk to the seaside community of Karin with cafes, restaurants and a mini market. A short drive away is the more populated town of Benkovac with its’ large supermarket, emergency services, pharmacies, banks, general shops, summer festival cultural events, and hugely popular monthly farmers’ market. Our local surrounding area comprises rural working farms, small vineyards, traditional fishing villages, rich flora and fauna, old pine forests and untouched nature.
Beside the campsite sits a stunning ancient monastery where the Karinsnica River meets the Karin Sea. There are many beautiful walks as well as great roads and conditions for keen cyclists. Along the roads visitors will be able to source fresh produce from locals such as summer fruits and homemade olive oil. Our guests will experience unbelievable air quality as we are situated just below Velebit Mountain and they may also wish to try the natural mineral health muds close to our campsite for skin conditions, ailments such as arthritis and for detoxification.
As we are situated on a sea inlet with calm clear water and shaded pebble beaches – fishing and general water sports such as kayaking, windsurfing, Stand Up Paddle boarding, water skiing and boating are popular with locals and tourists alike.
For city adventures, Zadar – recently voted ‘Best European City 2016’ – is 25mins away. Best known for it’s amazing Sea Organs, Cathedrals, characterful old walled town, outdoor concerts, museums, boutiques and fabulous fish market!
